Holy Spirit Dove – Out of a Paper Plate

January 19, 2019 No Comments

This week, my Eucharist 1 class topic was about the Holy Spirit, so it was the perfect opportunity to make doves!

  • White paper plate (the cheap kind)
  • Markers
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • [Optional]: Dove Body Template (Download)
  • [Optional]: String/ribbon
  • [Optional]: Tape
  • [Optional]: Hole punch

Let's Create this Craft:

  • Start with a regular, cheap paper plate.
  • Draw two lines to make the wings.
  • In the middle section, draw the body and tail of the dove. [I created a template you can use if you don’t want to free-hand it].
  • [Tip: Draw the lines you need to cut on the back of the paper plate. That way, when you flip it over, the marker lines won’t show] (See Picture).
  • Cut on your lines, and then assemble like a dove with one of the big wings on each side.
  • Glue the wings on the back of the dove.
  • Draw on some simple feet, a beak, and 2 eyes with markers.
  • [Optional]: Punch a hole on the top of both wings. Tie the string through it so you can hang it up. Tape the string closest to the dove to the back (See Picture).
Draw the lines on the back of the paper plate.
[Optional]
Finished!
